Who needs low cost medical care?

The last few years have seen a marked increase in the number of patients in our area who find it hard to afford basic medical care because they are now uninsured or under-insured. I therefore started a special low cost, cash only, program for most of the services our office offers, as well as for many outside services on a negotiated, reduced-fee basis.

Who may benefit from our low-cost cash program?

  • People who can not afford private-pay insurance
  • People who lost their jobs and no longer have COBRA or other assistance
  • Young people who don't think they need medical insurance
  • People with insurance, but with a high deductible (this may include your HSA account)

Regardless of the reason, our office is set up to accommodate your needs, and contain the cost.

Uninsured and under-insured in Connecticut

So, you live in Connecticut, the (second?) wealthiest state in the US, and have no medical insurance or you're under-insured. You are not alone. Look around you and you'll see that more than 11% of adults in Connecticut have no medical insurance, and an unspecified number, probably more than 5%, are under-insured. The numbers are getting worse since the economic downturn.

Read more about Under-insured in Connecticut in a short article I published a little over two years ago.
